The Cincinnati Democratic Committee (CDC) consisting of Precinct Executives elected in the city of
Cincinnati, will being the endorsement process for Cincinnati City Council and CPS School Board
candidates soon. Elected precinct executives, within the City of Cincinnati and CPS boundaries, have
received instructions on how to apply to serve on the nominating committee.
The endorsement process will include the following steps:
Candidate Questionnaire – If you would like the questionnaire, please send your candidate contact
information and which office you are running for to: cdc@hamiltoncountydems.org.
Candidate Interviews – Candidates must have petition signatures submitted and reported as “Sufficient”
by the Hamilton County Board of Elections staff before their endorsement interview.
Endorsement Vote – The CDC members will vote on the recommendations of both nominating
committees.

April 10 application deadline for City Council, CPS School Board nominating committees
The Cincinnati Democratic Committee is forming nominating committees for city council and CPS school board endorsements. The deadline to apply is April 10 at 5:00 pm. As noted in an email sent to CDC members earlier this week, precinct executives living in the city of Cincinnati who wish to be considered please email cdc@hamiltoncountydems.org the following information:
- Your name
- The nominating committee you are applying for (school board or city council)
- Precinct number and neighborhood
- Why you wish to serve
- Your involvement in the Hamilton County Democratic Party
Precinct executives who live outside the city but within the CPS boundary may also apply for the school board nominating committee and have been sent application information. The deadline to apply is April 10 at 5:00 pm
As with the last city council and school board endorsement process, candidates will need their petitions deemed sufficient by the Board of Elections staff before the endorsement interviews in May.
