The Hamilton County Democratic Party Executive Committee unanimously endorsed two issues that will appear on the ballot in Hamilton County: the Family Services & Treatment levy and the Developmental Disabilities Services levy. Neither of these issues will raise taxes.
The Family Services & Treatment levy is a renewal of an existing $6.5 million, 0.34-mill, 5-year levy on the November 5, 2024 ballot. This renewal levy, which won’t raise taxes, is the smallest county-wide operating levy. Passage of the renewal levy will continue to maintain support services promoting stronger and more vibrant communities through effective prevention, treatment and reentry services.
The Developmental Disabilities levy is a 5-year renewal of 4.13 mills. Proceeds from the levy provide services to thousands of children and adults in Hamilton County, including case management, family support, housing support, infant therapy and education and employment services. The levy is expected to generate about $75 million per year.
These levies have not yet been assigned issue numbers.
