CDC Nominating Committee Formation and Endorsement Process Information
The Hamilton County Democratic Party has been informed by the Hamilton County Board of Elections that they will pause candidate petition checking until after the Primary election. They expect to resume checking on May 27th. This will cause a delay in CDC’s endorsement process.
The nominating committees are being formed and those serving on committees will be communicated with in the next two weeks to determine meeting dates.
If you are a candidate seeking the CDC endorsement, please send your contact information to executivedirector@hamiltoncountydems.org. You will be notified when the candidate questionnaire is available. The nominating committees will conduct candidate interviews in June. Candidates must have their petition signatures submitted and reported as “Sufficient” by the Hamilton County Board of Elections staff before their nominating committee interview.
We expect to endorse candidates before the end of June.
As in previous election cycles, we pledge a fair and transparent process as we consider endorsements. We look forward to a strong coordinated campaign to be sure we elect Democrats to our city and school board leadership.
