About the Opportunity
The Hamilton County Democratic Party (HCDP) is seeking an Executive Director. In partnership with the Chair of the HCDP, the Executive Director is responsible for the strategy, activities, management, and growth of the HCDP. This specifically includes, but is not limited to, election-based activities, fundraising, budgeting, communications, outreach, and building Party infrastructure. This position has a wide range of responsibilities, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic asset to the Chair, its elected and party officials, its candidates, and leaders across the county.
Minimum Requirements:
- An Associates Degree or higher
- A minimum of four (4) years of political experience
- At least two full years of leadership national, state, or local campaigns, committees, and/or organizations
- Strong abilities in organization planning from strategy
- Extensive team management skills with demonstrated ability to achieve high levels of performance and outcomes through management and influence
- A reputation for leading with integrity and making decisions with the input of the appropriate stakeholders, under supervision of the Chair
- Conflict and crisis management experience with proven, clear decision making ability
- Demonstrated skills in fundraising

- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Good information/administrative organization skills
- Digital by nature – with smartphone, tablet, and laptop for work and personal reasons: monitoring email and social media in real time is intuitive
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
- Some knowledge of loading and sending emails via NGP, EveryAction, or similar software
- Some knowledge of Votebuilder
- Attention to detail
- Highly Communicative – responsive to internal and external requests, emails, calls, within reason
- Able to juggle multiple activities yet not lose focus on top priorities largely without assistance
- Organized in thinking and doing
- Committed to the values and practices of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace with the ability to take feedback and learn
- Knowledge of Hamilton County politics
- Be a registered, active Democratic voter
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Successfully complete a criminal background check
