State Of Ohio
- The Primary Election may have to be delayed because Republicans cannot create a fair legislative map, according to the Secretary of State. Read the Ohio Democratic Party Chair’s comments here.
- Updates from Rep. Jessica Miranda: Rep Miranda recently introduced a bill that would require colleges and universities in the state to provide accommodation for students when there are conflicts between class assignments, exams and religious observances. Miranda condemned the Ohio House passage of House Bill 325, GOP legislation to prevent local law enforcement from temporarily restricting firearms in areas experiencing unrest or riots. Miranda also condemned HB 109, which would discourage Ohioans from participating in lawful protests and civil demonstrations for fear of running afoul of the proposed law’s broad and vague language.
